A photo of the late British physicist Stephen Hawking relaxing in a chair with two women in bikinis went viral on social media, reigniting the debate about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein following the latest publication of judicial documents in the United States.
The image, included in the new batch of archives released by the Department of Justice (DOJ), shows Hawking smiling with a red cocktail, flanked by two women whose identities have not been revealed. It is not yet clear the context in which the image is set, nor has the location or the identity of the people accompanying Stephen Hawking been disclosed.
It is known that he visited the island of St. Thomas and Epstein's private island, Little Saint James, in 2006 to attend a conference attended by twenty other scientists. A post on the Jeffrey Epstein Foundation's blog states that the guests to the event, titled 'Energy of the vacuum space that is not zero,' gathered to 'discuss, relax on the beach and take a trip to the private retreat on the nearby island of scientist-philanthropist Jeffrey Epstein, who funded the event'.
Emails sent by Epstein point to one of his victims, Virginia Giuffre, who accused Hawking of participating in an orgy with minors.
