The conflict erupted on Saturday following joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran that resulted in the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In a post on X, the ministry said it had updated the travel advisories for Bahrain and Jordan "to reflect the order for non-essential U.S. government employees and their families to depart."
