USA Uses New PrSM Missiles Against Iran for First Time in History

The United States Armed Forces used the new long-range precision attack missiles (PrSM) for the first time in history in the war against Iran, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) revealed this Wednesday. This military command, based in Florida, highlighted that this is the 'historic' debut of the PrSM in combat, which occurred 'during Operation "Furious Epic", providing an unparalleled deep-strike capability,' according to a social media post with a video of the attacks. 'I could not be more proud of our men and women in uniform who leveraged innovation to create problems for the enemy,' said CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper. The U.S. Army had announced in April 2025 the first tests of the PrSM, which it considers the 'new generation' of long-range precision missiles to 'attack, neutralize, suppress, and destroy targets.' This system replaces the Army's Tactical Missile System with 'greater range and lethality,' it was stated at the time. U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had announced this Wednesday that they would begin using precision gravity bombs, of which they have an 'almost unlimited' arsenal, four days after the start of the war against Iran, which Washington is 'winning decisively,' he claimed at a conference.
