Fátima Bosch, Miss Universe 2025, was firm during her participation in the Mexico Conference 2026 at Harvard University, after a student publicly questioned the legitimacy of her victory in the international pageant. A student mentioned the rumors that circulated after Bosch's coronation and asked her why she decided to keep the crown instead of resigning due to the alleged irregularities that, according to versions spread on social media, may have influenced her selection. The beauty queen responded and defended both her victory and her work during the time she has held the title. "I am not going to resign because I worked for that crown and that's why I won," she highlighted. Bosch also pointed out that she considers it unjust that women's leadership is questioned more frequently than men's. "The day society will change and it's because of people like you that people trip up and question when a woman holds a position. I think I have demonstrated in these four months that I have been in charge that I have been doing things that had not been done in history," she concluded.
