Venezuelan from Tren de Aragua becomes first cybercriminal on FBI's Most Wanted list

The FBI has for the first time added a cybercriminal, Aníbal Alexander Canelón Aguirre, a Venezuelan national, to its list of the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives for his alleged ties to the transnational criminal gang Tren de Aragua. Alongside him, the agency also added Trung Duc Lu, of Vietnamese origin, and American Samuel Ramírez, the latter of whom was captured following a joint operation with Mexican authorities just days after being added to the most wanted list. This was detailed by the Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI's Criminal Division, Heath Janke, at a press conference. Aguirre is accused of leading an international network that allegedly steals millions of dollars from financial institutions in the United States to fund the transnational criminal gang Tren de Aragua, designated by Washington as a foreign terrorist organization.
