Donald Trump said on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz will be 'open very soon' and added that he would like to see this key maritime route under joint control of the United States and Iran. Regarding when the strait would reopen, the U.S. president replied: 'It will be open very soon,' if negotiations with Iran continue to progress, he told CNN and reported by the Argentine News Agency. 'It will be under joint control,' he added. 'Don't forget: we eliminated the leadership in phase one, phase two, and largely phase three.'
