According to various military analysts, a "fifth generation warfare cycle" is being established for which few strategic assets are ready. The West, as the heir of Athens, Rome, and Jerusalem, is considered a cultural matrix based on reason, faith, and law, reflected in democracy and the rule of law. On the other hand, the political awakening of American society affected by geopolitical changes, deindustrialization, and institutional problems is seen. This evolution is linked to a hybrid war waged by Western internal and geostrategic rivals to weaken the post-1945 global order and promote the idea of its decline. The communist combat matrix mainly manifests in the immaterial realm of perceptions, beliefs, and knowledge. Political warfare seeks to shape opinions and internal divisions in target nations, weakening institutions and promoting movements aligned with opposing interests. In this dynamic, various ideological trends and currents, such as postmodernism and systemic warfare, are observed, delineating a confrontation between a diverse West and its opponents in terms of political warfare. A scenario is proposed where attempts are made to impoverish Western countries, control their resources, and erode their national sovereignties in pursuit of global governance. The communist matrix, which involves ideological and psychological competition, influences the social and political cohesion of countries. From China, various combat cultures merge into a framework that seeks to reconfigure the world's superpowers and threaten the global status quo. Other elements, such as neo-Marxism and critical theory, intertwine political and cultural narratives to influence reality. In this way, a complex network of influences and strategies is glimpsed, aiming to reconfigure the world order. Concepts such as the Thucydides trap, sustainability, perception, and decay intertwine in a scenario of political and cultural conflict that defines the fate of powers and the balances of power in the contemporary world. The geopolitical landscape is shaped by these constantly evolving forces, posing challenges and transformations for the West and its counterparts.
