Miami Grand Prix 2025: All Set for the Sprint

After the recent Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2025, where Oscar Piastri from McLaren took victory, excitement returns to the track with the Miami Grand Prix. Additionally, the second sprint of the Formula 1 season takes place, marking the first short race in America, following the first one in China where Lewis Hamilton from Ferrari secured his only victory to date in the season. McLaren has shown to have a solid car, but the presence of Max Verstappen from Red Bull adds uncertainty to the competition.

On Friday afternoon at the Miami International Autodrome, a surprising sprint qualification took place. Kimi Antonelli, a rookie this season, stunned everyone by taking pole position, surpassing the current World Championship leader, Oscar Piastri, by just 45 thousandths. With Antonelli on pole, the grid for this Saturday's sprint is made up of various F1 talents.

The sprint will take place at the Miami International Autodrome on Saturday, May 3, at 10:00 am (Central Mexico Time). This race format, shorter than a standard Grand Prix, lasts 30 minutes and covers about a third of the total distance. The top eight drivers crossing the finish line will earn points for the drivers' and constructors' championships, with points distributed from 1st to 8th place.

To follow the Sprint race of the Miami Grand Prix 2025 from Mexico, platforms such as FOX Sports Mexico, FOX Sports Premium, or F1TV can be used. Additionally, El Financiero Deportes offers minute-by-minute live coverage for those without access to these platforms. The Miami race is only the second of six scheduled in the sprint calendar for the season, which includes events in locations such as Belgium, the United States, Sao Paulo, and Qatar.
