The midfielder Aníbal Godoy and his team, San Diego FC, defeated Minnesota United 1-0, which features his compatriot Carlos Harvey, in the Western Conference semifinals of Major League Soccer (MLS). With this victory, San Diego FC advanced to the Western Conference final, where they will host Vancouver Whitecaps in a single match this Saturday, November 29th. Meanwhile, Minnesota United is eliminated from the season. In the conference semifinal match, both Godoy and Harvey started for their teams. Godoy (received a 7.7 rating) played until the 78th minute when he was replaced by Luca de la Torre. Harvey (received a 7.0 rating) played until the 84th minute when he was substituted by Dominik Fitz. The winning goal for San Diego came in the 72nd minute. Corey Baird received the ball in space and provided an assist into the center of the area; Anders Dreyer controlled it and finished with his left foot into the far right corner for the 1-0. This play changed the course of the match and put San Diego in control of the series.
