Buenos Aires, December 6 (NA) – Argentine midfielder Rodrigo De Paul scored the 2-1 goal for Inter Miami against the Vancouver Whitecaps in the 26th minute of the second half, in the Major League Soccer final. At Chase Stadium and with live coverage by the Argentine News Agency, the team coached by Javier Mascherano became champion of the Major League Soccer by defeating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1. The own goal was scored by defender Edier Ocampo, Tadeo Allende also scored, and the goal from the Argentine national team midfielder, Rodrigo De Paul, sealed the victory. With the match tied 1-1 and on their home field, the Paraguayan-born Argentine midfielder Andrés Cubas lost the ball to his compatriot Lionel Messi. The Rosario star made a pass into the gap to set up his Argentine national teammate one-on-one, who finished past the Japanese goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka to score the goal that guided the Florida-based team to its first local title.
