Netflix plans to launch a football simulation game FIFA on its gaming platform during the summer of 2026, coinciding with the World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as the giant company announced yesterday. The company said the game, which is produced and distributed by Delvee, will be available to Netflix subscribers and can be played individually or online with friends using only a smartphone. Netflix clarified that the anticipated FIFA game has not yet been named or given a release date. President of Netflix's Games Division, Alan Tascan, said: "The 2026 World Cup will be the premier cultural event, and now fans can celebrate their love for football by bringing the game directly into their living rooms." This move comes three years after FIFA removed its name from the world's best-selling football video game.
