LA Galaxy Advances to Concachampions

LA Galaxy advances to the next round of the Concachampions thanks to an away goal and a draw in the second leg, despite Sporting San Miguelito being unable to secure a victory.

Thanks to two draws and an away goal, the MLS team advances to the Concachampions. In addition to another shot by Ángel James that the Panamanian couldn't connect well with, in the final minutes of the match, there were very few clear goal chances generated by Sporting San Miguelito. Sporting San Miguelito drew 0-0 against LA Galaxy in the second leg, but it was not enough and they were eliminated from the Concachampions 2026, in a game played in the early hours of this Thursday at the Dignity Health Sports Park in California. In the second leg, "The Academy" came out to defend, risked little, and the Galaxy's goalkeeper, JT Marcinkowski, was almost a spectator in the game. He saved a shot from Armando Cooper who took a shot that went near the opposing goal at 54 minutes. The "Galaxy" team had drawn 1-1 in the first leg in Penonomé, a result that served them to advance to the round of 16 of the Concachampions.
