Rain Cancels Matches in Miami

Intense rains that hit the US city of Miami throughout the day forced the suspension of Wednesday's play at the ATP Masters 1000 in Miami, the second of its kind this season. According to the Argentine News Agency, the tournament issued a statement on its social media confirming that today's matches would be rescheduled for Thursday. On what was supposed to be the opening day of the main draw, the matches of two Argentines were postponed: Camilo Ugo Carabelli (66th) and Solana Sierra (63rd). The third day of the Miami Masters 1000 had to be suspended due to incessant rain, resulting in a Thursday packed with first-round matches. Among the Argentines, Mariano Navone (61st) will face Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili. The 25-year-old Argentine had already won in this category at the Cagliari tournament in 2024. On the other hand, the 34-year-old Georgian did not have a good start to the season, with only four wins in 13 matches.
