Dodgers Win Game 2 but Suffer Ohtani Injury

The Dodgers defeated the Yankees 4-2 in Game 2 of the World Series, but star player Shohei Ohtani left the game with shoulder discomfort. The Dodgers lead the series 2-0 as they head to New York for Game 3.

The Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees 4-2 in the second game of the World Series, in a match that ended with concern for Los Angeles. Japanese star Shohei Ohtani had to leave the field due to shoulder discomfort.

The Dodgers' offense supported the great performance of Japanese pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto. With this victory, the Dodgers take the lead in the series (2-0) before traveling to New York for the third game at Yankee Stadium, in a best-of-seven series.

Tension filled Dodger Stadium when Ohtani left the game in the seventh inning due to a shoulder issue resulting from a stolen base attempt. Yamamoto, in his World Series debut, dominated the Yankees' offense, limiting them to just one hit and one run in 6.1 innings.

As for the game's development, Tommy Edman hit a home run in the second inning to give the Dodgers the lead. The Yankees responded with a home run from Juan Soto to temporarily tie the game. Teoscar Hernández and Freddie Freeman extended the home team's lead with back-to-back home runs in the third inning.

Despite the Yankees' attempt to rally in the ninth inning, with a hit from Soto and runners in scoring position, the Dodgers were able to stop the threat. Pitcher Alex Vesia earned the save for the game, while Cuban pitcher Carlos Rodón took the loss after allowing three home runs and four runs in 3.1 innings.

In this high-intensity game, the Dodgers took the victory, but Ohtani's injury remains an unknown for the Angels as they approach the upcoming games in the World Series.
