Trump to Reinstate Maximum Pressure on Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump is set to sign a presidential decree on Tuesday that will restore the "maximum pressure" campaign on Iran. This was stated by an American lawmaker. According to him, Trump's decree calls on the Treasury Department to implement "maximum economic pressure" on Iran, including sanctions and mechanisms for their enforcement against violators of existing sanctions.

The U.S. Department of State will take steps to amend or remove exemptions from sanctions and will cooperate with the Treasury Department to implement the campaign to "reduce Iranian oil exports to zero". The goal of this campaign is to deprive Iran of the ability to possess nuclear weapons.
