A report from the University of Michigan, published on Friday, showed that consumers have become more aware of inflation in the long-term perspective.
As a result of a conducted survey, researchers found that more than half of 500 respondents expressed concern about the persistence of inflation in the future. According to analysts, such an increase in anxiety may influence consumer behavior and household spending in the coming months.
One of the participants in the study noted: "We see that people are starting to react to what is happening with prices. This can indicate a general economic activity, and possibly lead to changes in consumption strategies."
