Tesla plans to build a new large factory not far from Houston for battery storage operations. This was announced by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. The factory will be located on a site of approximately 2000 acres and will create around 500 jobs.
Abbott noted that the construction of the Tesla factory will contribute to the economic growth of the region and attract investments to the state. Company representatives also confirmed that they plan to increase the production of their batteries and accumulators.
Tesla President Elon Musk previously stated the intention to create such factories to increase production capacity and meet demand for their products. "We are striving for continuous development and expansion of our capabilities to satisfy the needs of our customers," Musk said.
