Uber announced on Tuesday its partnership with Pony.AI for the development of vehicles produced by manufacturers of self-driving taxis. According to a statement from an Uber representative, the agreement proposes the use of electric vehicles equipped with systems for autonomous driving in testing programs of both companies. "We are confident that our collaboration with Pony.AI will help us advance forward to create safe and effective mobility solutions," noted Uber. Pony.AI already had experience working with Uber on other projects in the field of autonomous driving. The partnership allows both companies to exchange knowledge and expertise to improve the technologies of automated transportation.
