Soybean Futures Hit 15-Month High in Chicago

Soybean futures in Chicago rose by about 1% on Monday to a 15-month high amid continuing Chinese return to the US market. The price of wheat increased by 0.9% to $5-3/4 per bushel, the highest level since late July. Wheat hit a 3-month high, while corn prices also edged up, following soybean gains, although the abundance of global grain supplies is likely to limit price increases. The most active soybean futures contract on the Chicago Board of Trade rose 1% to $11-1/4 per bushel as of 02:56 GMT, the highest level since July 2024. Corn prices also increased.
