Kevin Hassett, White House economic advisor, said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump will make a final decision on leadership of the Federal Reserve (the U.S. central bank) within the next two weeks. Hassett, the frontrunner for the Board chairmanship, added in an interview with the 'America Reports' program on the Fox News channel that with 'stronger data' as a guide, 'one can certainly get to 50 basis points or even more'.
