According to CNET, to check if the feature is available, users can log in to their Google account, click on 'Personal info' in the top-left corner, then in the 'Email' section, click on 'Google Account email', and finally click 'Change your Google Account email'. If this option is not found, the feature may not be available in their region yet. It is worth noting that the number of Gmail users ranges from 1.5 to 2 billion, according to various websites that track Google's user statistics. This means that if a user's long-standing Gmail email address is no longer suitable for their needs, they will soon be able to change it without losing access to their messages and files associated with the account they want to change.
