US Company Announces First Lunar Hotel

American company 'GRU Space' has announced its intention to build the first permanent hotel on the Moon, targeting visitors starting from 2032. If this phase is successful, a larger structure will be created in an area known as the 'Lunar Pit', where conditions are expected to be more stable. The company plans to open a preliminary version of the hotel by 2032, capable of hosting four guests in the first phase, with future plans to expand capacity. The company's founder, Skyley Chan, said: 'If we succeed, billions will be born on the Moon and Mars, and they will be able to experience the wonder of life in space.' According to the company, this project will be the first permanent structure built by humans outside of Earth and is dedicated to hosting space tourists. To secure a spot in advance, the company requires potential guests to pay a deposit of at least one million dollars. The company's statement indicates that the hotel will be built using inflatable living units manufactured on Earth, alongside an automated system that converts lunar soil into something resembling bricks to form the building's outer structure. According to the company, the project, in its initial phase, targets visitors who have previously traveled to space commercially or those seeking an exceptional space experience; the company describes the offering as 'a vacation like no other in the universe.' Testing of construction technologies on the Moon will begin in 2029 in collaboration with NASA, by placing a small inflatable structure to evaluate the materials and durability.
