Ahmed bin Shafar, CEO of Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), met with leadership from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) on the sidelines of the ASHRAE 2026 conference and exhibition. The event was held from January 31 to February 4, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The meeting was attended by William McQuaid, President of ASHRAE; Jeff Littleton, Executive Vice President; Sarah Maston, President-Elect; and Ashish Rahija, Treasurer. The discussions focused on recent cooperation agreements between Empower and ASHRAE and reviewed the progress made in joint initiatives.
