The social network Instagram suffered a massive outage on Wednesday evening, leaving thousands of users without access to their accounts and usual services. According to information from the Argentine News Agency (NA), monitoring platforms detected a sharp increase in error reports in recent hours. Downdetector status charts show a vertical spike in error notifications, where users point mainly to server connection issues, feed updates, and website access problems. When trying to log into the platform, it displays an error screen with the message: "Sorry, something went wrong. We are working to fix it as soon as we can," preventing navigation on both desktop and mobile versions. So far, the company Meta has not issued an official statement detailing the causes of the technical outage affecting its services at the start of 2026.
