OpenAI is in advanced talks to establish a joint venture with several private equity firms, including TPG and Bain Capital, aimed at boosting the adoption of the company's artificial intelligence software. According to people familiar with the discussions, the proposed joint venture could be valued at around $10 billion before funding, with private equity firms committing to invest about $4 billion in the project. TPG and Bain Capital have declined to comment on these discussions. In a social media post, Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI, described the project as a step to build an 'anchor'.
