Global stock markets finished trading in a practically stable manner. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the day not far from zero.
Investors remain cautious awaiting a decision on the rate hike from the Federal Reserve System of the USA.
Major tech companies showed mixed results: Apple and Facebook stocks fell, while Amazon and Microsoft stocks closed in the red.
Shares of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla also declined after the company presented its much-anticipated electric pickup Cybertruck.
"Today's market reflects the cautious behavior of investors, who are awaiting news from the Fed on possible steps regarding the interest rate hike," noted one analyst.
