Singer and pop icon Ariana Grande marked a new significant moment in her career - her first nomination for an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role as Glinda in the musical "Wicked." Grande expressed gratitude for this acknowledgment on her Instagram account, describing it as "a groundbreaking nomination" and thanked the Academy. "I raise my head between the generations to say a huge thank you [The Academy Awards] for this groundbreaking nomination. I love you dearly, always," Grande wrote. She also mentioned that she has until now been overwhelmed by this honor. "I don’t have all the words yet, I’m still trying to breathe. Your talent is limitless, and you deserve every flower in every garden. But thank you. Oh Lord, thank you," the artist shared.

Grande also expressed her pride in her collaborative work with co-star for the film "Wicked," actress Cynthia Erivo, who played Elphaba. "I am so deeply grateful for my beautiful family from 'Wicked.' I am so grateful for my Elphaba, my sister, my dear [Cynthia Erivo]. I can’t stop crying, it’s only amazing," Grande wrote in her publication.

Continuing her journey, Grande expressed pride in her young self "I," reminiscing about the time when she was inspired by the performance of Judy Garland singing "Over the Rainbow" from the film "The Wizard of Oz."
