
The new animated series "Your Friend and Neighbor Spider-Man" tells about the early stages of the life of teenager Peter Parker as a Savior, resembling a spider, in a parallel universe, different from the recent films about Spider-Man with live actors. The main role in the series is played by Tom Holland, who has voiced this character since 2017.
The comic "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" won an Oscar in 2019, followed by "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" — an animated film that received critical acclaim.
The series' screenwriter and executive producer Jeff Trammell told Agence France-Presse that they aimed to create a new project that is more unique and original. "We’ve stamped our imprint on a beloved character known by everyone," he noted. He also added that the adaptation of the world of Spider-Man provides "endless possibilities".
A notable feature of the series will be the fact that Norman Osborn, known as the Green Goblin, one of Spider-Man's main villains, presents himself before the viewers in the role of a mentor and mentor to the hero.
After Spider-Man appeared in the cinematic universe, the series will be introduced to the public in a new format on the streaming platform Disney+. This project will be dedicated to the famous American comic about Spider-Man.
The first season of "Your Friend and Neighbor Spider-Man" will consist of 10 episodes and will be produced by Marvel Animation, which previously released the successful film "X-Men 97" in 2024.
