Fans of science fiction and fantasy films, anime, and video games are excited about the numerous premieres, sequels, and special editions that will take place in theaters and streaming platforms this year. To celebrate this legacy, Universal Studios Hollywood will organize the Fan Fest Nights, an exhibition that will immerse visitors in the immersive universes of their favorite franchises.
The inaugural event will take place from April 25 to 27; May 2 to 4, May 9 to 11, and May 16 to 18, 2025, featuring characters and experiences inspired by science fiction, fantasy, games, and anime. Attendees can participate in cosplays of iconic franchises such as Star Trek, Back to the Future, Dungeons & Dragons, One Piece, and Jujutsu Kaisen. Additionally, the star attractions at Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will offer exclusive experiences.
One of the highlighted experiences will be "Star Trek: Red Alert," where participants will experience an adventure aboard the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D on an interstellar mission in the year 2403. "Jujutsu Kaisen: Hunger of the Cursed," inspired by the popular Japanese manga and its anime adaptation, will also be presented. The magical world of "Harry Potter" will offer interactions with magical creatures and a light show.
During the event, attendees can participate in activities such as a treasure hunt to find colorful Yoshi eggs and meet a special colored Yoshi as a reward. The incorporation of Yoshi into Super Nintendo World will allow fans to interact with this beloved character. Another attraction will be "One Piece: Grand Pirate Gathering," which will immerse visitors in the world of pirates with the collaboration of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
Additionally, there will be a nostalgic experience with "Back to the Future: Destination Hill Valley," which will invite attendees to time travel to Hill Valley alongside the iconic characters from the film. Another attraction will be "Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep," where participants will embark on an adventure to protect the city of Waterdeep from a conspiracy.
