Oscar Speech Duration Reduced to 45 Seconds

In a recent dinner for Oscar nominees in Los Angeles, attendees were reminded that their acceptance speeches should be limited to 45 seconds to maintain the event's tempo.

Oscar Speech Duration Reduced to 45 Seconds

It is noted that the era of long speeches by Oscar winners has become part of the past. On the days leading up to the ceremony, nominees gathered in Los Angeles to remind the artists that the duration of their speeches should not exceed 45 seconds.

Famous Hollywood stars like Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Rafe Fiennes, and Isabel Rossellini confirmed their readiness to comply with this rule. However, few are actually expected to follow the instructions literally, as Janet Yang tried to draw the attention of humorists to the comedic context.

"I feel like a school teacher," joked Yang, before gently urging artists to prepare a "concise, entertaining, inspiring, and, if desired, short speech." It is expected that some of those who perform may reference the fires that have devastated Los Angeles, from which it is still recovering, and which have taken the lives of over 30 people and forced thousands to evacuate their homes.
