Reuters reported that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) temporarily ordered to suspend flights at Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Palm Beach airports in Florida for at least one hour. According to the agency’s information, the explosion of SpaceX's Starship spacecraft caused a disruption to the flights of approximately 240 airlines. More than 24 aircraft were forced to change their routes due to the danger of falling space debris.
It should be noted that this is already the second explosion in a row during the test launch conducted by SpaceX. According to the FAA, the previous incident led to delays in 171 flights, changes to the routes of 28 flights, and the suspension of 40 airline operations on the 22nd.
"We were forced to make changes in the operation of a significant number of airlines due to potential safety issues related to this SpaceX incident," stated representatives of the American aviation authority.
At this moment, the state of Florida is encountering the aftermaths of the previous incident, which caused serious violations in the air traffic of the region.
