Brad Pitt has requested his ex-wife Angelina Jolie to share emails with her business manager as part of the ongoing legal dispute over their shared French winery, Château Miraval.
This comes after Angelina Jolie sold her stake in the winery last year, sparking a years-long legal battle. According to court documents, Brad Pitt filed a motion to compel Jolie to disclose her communications with her business manager Terry Bird, British PR officials, and her financial advisors.
The actor accused Jolie of withholding important emails related to the sale of her stake, though these communications may be relevant to the case. He also accused his ex-wife of 'continuous misrepresentation' and her refusal to provide the email voluntarily, stating that the purpose of the disclosure is to ensure that no hidden legal advice is behind internal work sessions.
In her response, Angelina Jolie clarified that emails discussing legal matters are not subject to disclosure, and that Pitt's request includes her communications with lawyers and consultants, which she considers non-binding.
Additionally, Angelina Jolie is seeking $33,000 to cover her legal costs in response to Pitt's request.
Her lawyer stated that the lawsuit represents a continuous attempt by Pitt to harass her and control their shared property.
