Buenos Aires, Dec 5 (NA) – The Village People took the stage for the World Cup 2026 draw and made U.S. President Donald Trump dance. According to the Argentine News Agency, the American band was in charge of closing the ceremony by singing one of their hits, released in 1978 and one of the most danced worldwide: “Y.M.C.A.”
In this way, The Village People brought it to life by performing their hit song in their colorful, characteristic attire. The party was so great that even Trump was moved to dance from his seat.
The World Cup 2026 draw, in which the Argentine national team was placed in Group J alongside Algeria, Austria, and Jordan, featured many performances by Andrea Bocelli, Robbie Williams, Nicole Scherzinger, and YG Marley.
