Florida authorities have arrested a woman accused of shooting her two ex-husbands on the same day. Police stated they will seek the death penalty for the crime. Susan Avalon, 51, was arrested at her home in Citrus County after police found one of the victims with a gunshot wound last Wednesday. The man died in the hospital several hours later. Before his death, the man, a resident of Manatee County, told officers that a person he identified as his ex-wife had called at his door and shot him in the presence of his daughter. During the investigation, police linked Avalon to another murder reported in the city of Tampa, where her other ex-husband was also found dead with gunshot wounds the same day. Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells announced this at a press conference. Wells said they will seek the death penalty against the woman. "She asked, 'Which one?"' the sheriff added. According to the investigation, authorities believe Avalon first killed the man in Tampa and then went to the home of her second ex-husband in Manatee County. Avalon has not revealed the motives for the deaths, Wells said, noting that the woman had previously been arrested for child abuse and custody disputes. "The detectives informed her they were there to talk about her ex-husband," said Wells.
