Los Angeles police arrested actor Kiefer Sutherland, known for the TV series '24' and the vampire film 'The Lost Boys', on suspicion of assaulting a taxi driver. The arrest took place the day after police received a call in Hollywood just after midnight. In a statement, police said, 'The investigation showed that the suspect, who was later identified as Kiefer Sutherland, got into a taxi and physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and also made criminal threats against him.' Police sources said the 59-year-old actor was released on $50,000 bail a few hours later. Police also noted that the driver did not sustain any injuries requiring medical attention. Sutherland is famous for his portrayal of Agent Jack Bauer in the hit TV series '24', which aired from 2001 to 2010, and has also played notable roles in several films.
