Jennifer Lawrence Lost Role Due to Appearance

The renowned American actress Jennifer Lawrence recounted that she lost a role in a film, according to her, due to her physical appearance and not meeting beauty standards. The American star stated that she was rejected from the cast of Quentin Tarantino's 2019 film 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' because people said she 'was not pretty enough.' 'Tarantino has been pursuing you. (...) he said that,' the show host asked. 'I turned it down, which I think was a mistake,' Lawrence interjected. This information was confirmed by Tarantino himself in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2015, where he confessed to being 'a huge fan of Jennifer Lawrence' and that he had contacted her to play the fugitive Daisy Domergue in said 2015 film, but Lawrence was too busy with 'all (the) publicity for the 'Hunger Games' movies.' 'Well, he did want me, and then everyone told him: 'She's not pretty enough to play Sharon Tate,' and then he didn't want me anymore,' Lawrence clarified.
