Catherine O'Hara, who starred in the film "Beetlejuice" and became very famous for her role as "Kate", the mother of Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), in "Home Alone", has died at the age of 71. O'Hara's death was confirmed to CNN by a member of the team from her representative's office, Marc Gurvitz. O'Hara began her career at Second City in her native Canada before dedicating herself to cinema. Her roles in "Beetlejuice" (1988) and "Home Alone" (1990) earned her wide recognition. Subsequently, she collaborated with director Christopher Guest, starring in many of his iconic mockumentaries, such as "Waiting for Guffman" (1996) and "Best in Show" (1996).
