NASA Delays Moon Mission Due to Cold Weather

NASA has delayed the next crewed mission to the Moon due to forecasts of near-freezing temperatures at the launch site. The first crewed flight under the Artemis program is now scheduled for no later than February 8, two days later than the original date. NASA was preparing to test fueling for the 322-foot (98-meter) Artemis lunar rocket this Saturday but canceled everything late Thursday due to the expected cold weather. The critical final test is now set for next Monday, weather permitting. This change means NASA has only three days in February to send four astronauts on a lunar fly-and-return mission before the mission extends into March.
