American actress Hilary Duff has commented on an article written by Ashley Tisdale, in which the latter 'exposed' a group of 'toxic moms' in Hollywood who pushed her away. In the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, Duff expressed regret that the women in this group were tarnished by what she called a 'lie.' 'Honestly, I felt very sad. It took me by complete surprise. It's awful to read something that isn't true, and it's awful for those six women and for all their lives,' she said. 'I think it came at the craziest time... the timing felt awful. And I felt bad,' the actress added. Tisdale's article was published almost simultaneously with Duff's announcement about her return to music and the release of her new single, which could be interpreted as an attempt to sabotage her career or orchestrate a cancellation against her.
