Exclusive Menu for Governors Ball

An exclusive menu for the Governors Ball, the post-Oscar party, will feature a recipe that seduced the royalty of Monaco, 60 kilograms of Japanese meat, and a selection of the world's best wines. The gastronomic proposal for this edition, led for 32 consecutive years by the renowned chef Wolfgang Puck along with his son Byron, will delight a thousand guests with a selection that bets on the excellence of the product and the nostalgia of its most iconic dishes. Among the menu designed for Hollywood's most important party is the famous chicken cake, a Puck family specialty that conquered the palate of Prince Albert of Monaco. 'He came to the Oscars, ate the chicken cake and said: 'Let's open a restaurant in Monte Carlo to serve this chicken cake',' Wolfgang Puck told EFE. Since then, it has become one of the dishes that cannot be missing from the Oscars table, alongside the A5 Wagyu, the highest quality Japanese beef in the world, which contrasts with tradition to elevate the bite of the night. 'We bring the meat especially for the Oscars, to be able to share it with everyone and show the best that the world has to offer,' added the chef. From savory to sweet: the famous chocolate Oscars-shaped statuettes coated in gold, as well as macaron pyramids or a variety of pistachio, hazelnut, or stracciatella ice creams will complete a wide range of desserts that will also parade the corridors of the post-Oscar party. The deployment of such a feast requires millimeter precision, which the Puck family masters with the naturalness of experience, and is a 'fun' challenge that they have been facing for over three decades. Behind the stoves, an army of professionals works against the clock to coordinate every detail of the dinner. 'And you really owe it to the 150 chefs in the kitchen that night, making sure that 25,000 dishes are served on time,' added Puck. The entire menu is executed in a marathon day on the same day of the gala, after a week of intense trials in the kitchens of the Dolby Theatre to ensure that excellence reaches the table intact. 'I'm going to need some Ozempic right after (eating) this,' Wolfgang joked while serving a demonstration of one of the dishes that will likely be tasted by personalities such as Brazilian Wagner Moura or Spanish actor Oliver Laxe. A dish that seduced royalty and 60 kilograms of Japanese meat crown the Oscars menu.
