Disney announced this Wednesday the release dates for the live-action versions of 'Lilo & Stitch' and 'The Incredibles 3', which will hit theaters on May 26 and June 16, respectively. Both films will be part of the entertainment giant's summer catalog, which is also preparing the third installment of 'Monsters Inc.' for its return to the big screen in 2028. The 'Lilo & Stitch' sequel draws on the success of the first live-action film, which premiered worldwide on May 23 and set a new record as the highest-grossing four-day Memorial Day weekend opening in US history. The film, based on the 2002 animated feature of the same name, tells the story of a lonely Hawaiian girl who befriends a runaway alien who helps her rebuild family bonds. The plot of the third 'The Incredibles' installment, for its part, remains a secret, though it will follow the superhero couple Bob and Helen Parr, also known as Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, as they try to live a normal life in the suburbs with their three children after the government bans superpowers.
