However, the new update offers a different experience by providing a standalone application that allows users to browse chats and contacts directly from the car's screen. When the app is launched, it displays a list of recent chats covering the user's activity over the past few weeks, helping to quickly access contacts. However, chats cannot be opened or read in full, which is a deliberate decision to reduce distraction while driving and enhance safety. The app also features a dedicated tab for the call history, in addition to the ability to view favorite contacts, making it easier to quickly start calls from inside the car. Furthermore, the app allows sending messages, but only via voice commands to maintain a safe driving experience. The app supports both light and dark modes and displays basic information like profile pictures and contact names. Despite the addition of a visual interface, the experience is still designed to be limited and simple, focusing on core functions without distracting the driver. The app is currently available through the TestFlight platform for beta testers on iOS, meaning access is still limited. Reports suggest that the official launch may happen in the coming weeks after testing is complete and performance is optimized.
