Pentagon Reveals Casualties in Iran Operation

The Pentagon revealed on Friday details of the 'Epic Fury' operation against Iran, which has so far resulted in 365 injured U.S. service members and 13 fatalities in a conflict that broke out on February 28. The figures were detailed in the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS), which explained that of the total 365 combat wounded, 247 belong to the U.S. Army. Another 63 wounded are from the Navy, 19 are from the Marine Corps, and 36 are from the Air Force. Of the 13 deceased, seven belong to the Army and six to the Air Force. The figures released today would not include any possible casualties or injuries that occurred on Friday when Iranian forces shot down a U.S. fighter jet. One of the crew members of the F-15 jet attacked by Tehran was rescued alive, while U.S. forces continue to work to find a second crew member, whose situation has not been disclosed. At least four U.S. vessels were hit by Iranian attacks, according to military sources cited by NewsMax. Two U.S. military helicopters involved in rescue operations were also hit by Iranian fire, but all crew members are safe, confirmed NBC. Additionally, an A-10 Warthog attack plane crashed near the strait almost at the same time the F-15 was hit by an Iranian attack. The only pilot in the aircraft was rescued by U.S. authorities. U.S. President Donald Trump has denied today that the Iranian attack will affect the supposed negotiations with Tehran.
