Severe Winds Expected to Intensify Fires in Los Angeles

As reported by meteorology expert Daniel Swain, strong winds expected on Monday may ignite fires, and he warns of an upcoming "dangerous period", noting that there is a likelihood of no precipitation over the next six or seven days.

Meteorology specialists warned on Sunday that dangerous winds, impacting Los Angeles, could reignite raging fires that caused destruction in the western suburbs over the course of the past two weeks.

Dozens of people are considered missing, with at least 27 people having died as a result of fires in Altadena in northern Los Angeles and in the upscale area of Pacific Palisades on the western side of the city.
