Her agent Mike Eisenstadt stated that the cause of death was complications caused by Alzheimer's disease. The actress died at her vacation home not far from Fort Worth, Texas, last Thursday, 10 years after being diagnosed.

She was celebrated thanks to her role in the show 'Laugh-In', a comedy show on NBC that first aired in the summer of 1968 and contributed to the shaping of pop culture of that time.
