The rapper Kanye West has initiated legal proceedings against his dentist, Dr. Thomas Conelly, whom he accuses of causing him an addiction to nitrous oxide, also known as 'laughing gas,' during dental treatments he underwent in 2024. According to the lawsuit filed by attorney Andrew Cherkasky from the Golden Law firm, the dentist allegedly administered this substance without proper medical supervision and even recommended that he continue using it at home, disregarding the consequences.

The legal document also states that Conelly allegedly billed for fraudulent services and suggested that Kanye West use intravenous anesthetics, such as propofol. It is mentioned that the rapper underwent several treatments, including a titanium crown and post-orthodontic treatments, during which he was repeatedly exposed to nitrous oxide.

The lawsuit emphasized that the use of this substance endangered Kanye West's mental health, who suffers from bipolar disorder, and erratic episodes are attributed to its consumption. The rapper claims that the declining behavior he experienced was due to the influence of the nitrous oxide administered by his dentist.

Kanye West, known for being a controversial figure, has been heavily criticized on social media and by other celebrities for his statements and behaviors. In early 2024, the rapper and his wife made headlines by showing up uninvited on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards, where she surprised everyone by removing the coat she was wearing, revealing her body covered only by a sheer mesh dress.
