A few hours before handing over power to Donald Trump, President Joe Biden presented on Monday mitigating accusations against federal officials and employees in order to protect them from "unsubstantiated legal actions with political motives." This step was announced in the context of crucial statements by Chris Christie, the head of Donald Trump's largest collaborator. "We are in an exceptional situation, and I cannot comfortably watch how the law is entangled with complex hands," Biden stated, who will pass his full powers to his Republican successor later on Monday. "It is very concerning that federal officials are facing threats and harassment due to their obligations to serve the public good," he added, noting that "some of them were even threatened with judicial proceedings." Biden recently pardoned his son Hunter, who became the subject of interest for alternative rights in America. Biden, expressing faith in the principle of legal predominance, stated: "I am confident that our judicial system ultimately prevails in political debates." At the same time, as his Republican successor promised to "destroy" his political foes, Biden decided to ensure protection for such individuals, who also align with Trump's foes, particularly the former president of the United Nations, the beginning of General Mark Milley's staff, and also the doctor coordinating Biden's strategy against COVID-19, Anthony Fauci, and participants in the commission investigating the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021, including police officers who testified before that very commission.
