President of the USA Donald Trump met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday. The negotiations took place in an atmosphere distinguished from the tense tone of criticism that Trump expressed in Zelensky's address last week, calling Zelensky 'null'.
Zelensky's visit to Washington was meant to discuss a wide range of issues, including the question of providing Ukraine with access to strategic mineral resources. The meeting of the leaders took place at 11:00 local time.
During the visit, support for Ukraine was also discussed in the context of the ongoing war with Russia, which started in February 2022. It is worth noting that the current US leadership is fully distancing itself from the previous policy directed at supporting Kyiv and seems to be closer to President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
