On Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the acquisition of Greenland would be a good idea. "The idea of purchasing Greenland has been discussed for a long time, and I am not the first to come to this conclusion. It is actually a strategically interesting investment," Trump stated.
The President emphasized that Greenland would become a greater geopolitical asset for the U.S. "Greenland is not just a beautiful place; it is also a strategically significant location concerning military and much more," he added.
Trump acknowledged that he understands that Denmark, to which Greenland belongs, is not in agreement with the sale of the island.
