The President of the USA, Donald Trump, stated today, on Friday, that he "wants to" try to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump expressed his position on the question of the possibility of a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, stating that he is not planning to get involved in this process. "I will want to try to do this," he said to journalists.
These comments were made in response to a request from the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, about Trump helping to resolve the conflict with Russia. "I am not putting my energy into this," added the American leader.
Trump also noted that he believes Ukraine should seek peace on its own. "It seems to me this is their problem. They have to solve it," he emphasized.
